My name is Brandi Caldwell from Springville, AL. I am going to be virtually following this conference and totally jealous that I cannot physically be there. I saw Sheryl's pictures from last year. Awesome city! I am currently teaching high school English at Moody High in the St. Clair Co. School District. I am working part time with the board this summer doing some PD and tech integration work which may turn into a full time if I play my cards right. I am married with two great boys (8 and 1) so I am always going. I look forward to looking in on this conference and participating in its community of learners.
Hello I am Anne Mirtschin from a small rural prep to year 12 school in south east Australia. I am hoping to attend in real life, this exciting conference. Over the last 12 months I have been enjoying the powerful learning outcomes that web2.0 tools can provide, including blogging, wikis, nings and collaborative projects.

I am Alan Levine, and have been involved with instructional technology since 1992; spending 14 years consulting with faculty and leading systemic initiatives at the Maricopa Community Colleges where I had some good timing to start using the web back in 1993... It was October 27, 10:30am I believe ;-) Since April 2006, I have been with the New Media Consortium (NMC) and international membership organization of more than 270 colleges, universities, and museums focused on using technology for teaching, learning and creative expression.
My title at NMC is Vice President Community & CTO and besides working on our various events and research projects, I manage all of our online presences and media, and spend a good chunk of time experimenting with new technologies. We are a small staffed organization, and operate more or less "virtually"; while we have a small office in Austin, Texas, I work from my home in the tiny mountain town of Strawberry, Arizona (try and find it!).
I've been blogging at CogDogBlog since 2003 and my interests include web design, programming, WordPress hacking, wikis, digital photography, digital storytelling, tagging, virtual worlds, anything under the Web 2.0 umbrella, etc.
Topics I plan to present include:
* What is on Your Technology Horizon? A look at emerging technologies based on our NMC Horizon Report
* Telling Stories with Photos on the Cave Wall Discuss concepts of Web 2.0 Storytelling and engage in some creative activities to get you thinking visually by telling a story in images only.
* Creating and Exploring Big Wide Images Explore the world via panoramic/immersive photos and a demo of creating ones with the GigaPan device
Looking forward to meeting everyone soon! I will be in Second Life for a virtual visit on August 30- you will know me as a dog in a red shirt ;)
Good day to you. My name is Loren Digges and I am very excited about this conference. Not only do I get to learn neat things to do with technology, but I get to do it in a strange new land for me. It's going to be great.
Hello!
I'm Sarah Digges and am currently teaching at Middle School art at the Korean International School. This will be my first time attending this conference and I'm very much looking forward to it. Can't wait to meet you all there!

Hi everyone! My name is Errin and I teach in a small rural school in Western Canada. Although I recently completed graduate coursework focused on the integration of technology into education, I still feel like a beginner with all the amazing technology available to use in my teaching and life! I hope to continue my learning here and gain motivation and understanding. My goal is to learn about how to introduce blogging into my classroom. I'd also like to further my understanding on how to use technology as a tool to increase students' global awareness.
My name is Dennis Harter and I work at the International School Bangkok as the High School Technology and Learning Coordinator. I am in my 16th year as an international educator having worked in Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and now Bangkok.
I enjoyed last years curriculum 2.0. presentation and feel it might be relevant to our school. I'd like our middle school curriculum coordinator to meet you. Are you presenting this year?
