Prep: Asking unconventional questions in a Web 2.0 world

I'm working on my presentation and it's still very much in the draft stage, I'm trying to avoid using a Powerpoint. Instead the presentation will be in blog/wiki format. I'll revert to traditional methods if internet sites are blocked or slow down. I'll be asking a number of questions, and showing examples of how we have answered them.

here's a start with some questions

Could mobile phones be more effec… Continue

Hey Brian.

Yeah, there are 5 of us from ASIJ here this weekend. I think I'll be checking your presentation out. Sounds pretty good.

I see you'll be presenting at the Admin conference in November. I'm recommending your session to our new Middle school principle as I'd like to get him onto the blogging ban wagon.

Hi there,

Sort of, External calendars are through finalsite, internal calendars are with FirstClass. We're still very much in the developing stage. I am finding weakness with Finalsite. For instance their blogging features are kind of weak, and I'm thinking wordpress MU might be a better tool. I see our website as a center of the web 2.0 storm helping our community navigate to the different services. Check out our Web 2.0 section of the site, you'll see how we're trying to experiment with some of these tools, like twitter for instance.

One more point, which Student Information Systems are you going with? The answer on that will also effect weather the portal is something you want to go with.

Glad to be your "friend". Brian.

I am citing the Yokohama website in the tech long range plan. I think we are going to go with finalsite. Are you developing a learning platform for students - calendars for individual courses, digital lockers, etc.?

Brian, I want to thank you for the session. You reminded me how much I love teaching (and creating) 3D worlds. I'm going to go looking for a possible posting that will get me back into the age group and the tech that will best benifit from my passion...Followed your session by Chris' Second Life...your two should go 'on the road' together! Still looking for the link that adds you to my 'friends' list but the Shanghai typhoon has us running even slower that usual. If you can do it from your end, please do. And thanks again.
